Brant Is Four Months Old!!

Our super little man was 4 months old on June 14th! :) What a little stud! We are so in love with this little guy. :) We had his 4 month well check and they were also thrilled with his growth. He has gained about 9 1/2 pounds since birth....which is awesome for a preemie! :) Our pediatrician was so excited on where he is with his development based on his age and size. Overall it was a great appt and he got a lot of praise. :) She also labeled him a flirt like his brother b.c he could not stop smiling at her. Too cute.

He is still growing like a weed and here are the 4 month stats:
Weight-11 lbs 9 oz (5th percentile)
Length-23 1/4 inches (5th percentile)
He gained about 5 inches since his 2 month appt. YAY! :)

We are just excited that we moved from around the 2nd percentile to the 5th...and hopefully we will be taking even more steps in the right direction by our 6 month appt. :) Come on buddy! :) You can do it!

Here are some highlights on Mr. Brant:
1) He is really not a huge fan of his carseat at all which makes me a little nervous (since Braden screamed in his until he was 19 months old). We have found some ways to trick him and that seems to be working sometimes. :) I will take anything I can get at this point. We rejoice over any cry-less car ride that we have these days. :)

2) He smiles so stinkin much...he is so happy!! He has the best dimple too....just like his dad. I love it! :) He is still talking 90 to nothing as well....so that must run in the family! HA!

3) Brant can burp like a man...meaning a grown man. When he gets the loud ones working I literally cannot stop laughing b.c he is so small. It just does not go together. :)

4) He is on a good schedule at this point and is still sleeping through the night...which makes everyone happy and more rested. :)

5) He pretty much goes everywhere with us as you can see. When we have things with Braden all weekend we just load him up and go. :) I have become a lot less anal than I was with Braden regarding having him out and about all day. There really is no choice if we want to do fun things with our toddler too. :)

6) He is doing much better with tummy time and will now play on his stomach for 3-5 minutes without crying. This is a HUGE accomplishment for us b.c both of my boys have HATED tummy time!! So we will just do it many times per day for a short time and it works the same. :)

7) He is rolling over!! HOORAY!! Way to keep up with the 4 month developmental milestones Brant!! :) You go! He started rolling from his stomach to his back right before his 4 month bday.

8) He does really good at focusing on us when we talk to him, and following us with his eyes as we walk around him. Also a big deal for a preemie.

9) His hair is falling out...starting at the top of his head and working its way to the back. Only about an inch of hair remains at the bottom of the back of his head, and it is still brown. The top is coming back in and is loaded with blondeness. :) We are so excited to see if he ends up being a blondie too or if it will stay dark. :)

10) He is FINALLY starting to get some chubbiness on his arms and his legs to go along with his growing belly. :)

We have loved watching him grow up these past 4 months. 3 months ago today we were sitting in the NICU, and did not know that we were about to be discharged very soon. I remember sitting there thinking that he was a month old already, and wondering how much more time we would have to spend at the hospital. At that point I just never imagined what he would be like at 4 months. I could not really get past living day to day. I am thrilled with the progress he has made and cannot wait to see him in another few months. He is truly our miracle baby! :)
