New Years Eve....Let The Good Times Roll!!

Yay for New Years Eve!! :) We had a lot of fun this year as we headed out to celebrate NYE and Chris's birthday in combination this year. His birthday is New Years Day but we thought we would celebrate him this year on his birthday eve. :)

I made reservations at Green Pastures for dinner...but just did not let him in on where we were headed. :) It was SOOOO good and they set us up in a romantic little table in the back of the old Victorian house. It was a wonderful dinner and we absolutely loved the food. So much that we had to take some pics of the amazing filets and desserts that we had! HA! :)

They had a ton of reservations for New Years Eve, and I totally know why now. Simply amazing. :) Loved our NYE and the start to Chris's birthday celebration. WHOOP! :)

Christmas Dinner = Good Times....But Then....

Chris and I usually celebrate Christmas with a nice dinner out a few days before the "big day". :) We pick a place that we have not been to before (b.c those who know me know that I LOVE to try new places). This year that was a little harder b.c now that we have a baby, it is obviously a little more difficult to get out to a nice place with him. :)

My mom is in town this week helping out with Braden, so she kept him while Chris and I headed out on our date on Tuesday night. We were thinking back on our dinners over the past few years. We started this little tradition after we got engaged in 2006. We thought back to our dinner in 2006 at Reed's Jazz and Supper Club, and then our dinner in 2007 at The Mansion at Judge's Hill, and finally in 2008 we headed to Joe DiMaggio’s. So this year we needed a little something different but equally as good. :) We decided to have a special night at Fabi & Rosi. It is kind of like an European bistro with lots of fun options. I had some great steak and frites and Chris ate the schnitzel and spatzle. We both loved our meals and were completely stuffed afterward. But oh so yummy. :)

After dinner we headed to Mozart's on Lake Austin to just chill out and have some more downtime together. It was freezing and rainy outside so we had to indulge in their scrumptous hot chocolate. Mmmmmmmmmm.....come to mama!!! :)

The only problem with this fun annual Christmas event was that my sweet hubby somehow got food poisoning and woke up at 7 am on Wed morning..in a very bad place!!! Boo!! :( Poor thing was SUPER sick and in bed all day on Wednesday. Not so nice things were happening to him and he was just wiped by the end of the day. We are not sure exactly what made him sick...but now he has a really bad taste in his mouth over a restaurant that really liked before! :(

Outside of that adventure on Wednesday, I'd give the actual date a thumbs up for sure!! :)

Holiday In The Park.....

On the Saturday after Christmas we headed out to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags with my mom and dad. We took Braden for his first theme park experience!! :) While it was chilly out, it was a great time with lots of laughs, holiday spirit, and funnel cakes! HA!
Braden was mighty cozy up in there.. :) Layers, layers, layers...
Carousel fun....Let the good times roll!!!
