Urban, A Taste Of The Irish, And A Beautiful Lake View...

Chris's mom was here to play this weekend ...so she and Braden had some Mimi/grandson bonding time over the course of a couple of days. :) As usual, he had someone new to show off for...so he was in hog heaven! :) HA!! He could practice all of his new moves for her...and also show her how much he could eat! LOL! :) He did both. :)

When our moms are in town, it also means that Chris and I get to go out and rate more restaurants!! HA!! You know that we LOVE that! :) Thanks so much Jan!! We really appreciated it mucho! :)

Chris and I headed out to take care of some business on Saturday while Braden stayed back with his Mimi. We have been looking to replace the flooring in our house...so we spent the day trying to look through numerous different hardwood floors and more carpets than we could count!! Needless to say, we were ready to get home! HA! :)

We did take a little break for lunch that day. We checked out "Urban"...the new restaurant in the Westin at The Domain. It was yummy and very trendy. :) I liked that! :) And then after lunch we had to get back to the grind....more and more hardwood and carpet shopping. We saw lots of this.....
And this......And even more of this........ Until everything just started to look the same. :)When we were done with all of that shopping, we decided we needed to head out to The Oasis for the afternoon for some margaritas. Ahhhhhh.....nice! :) Chris and I try to head to The Oasis at least each May to remember the amazing night that we had there on Friday, May 4th, 2007. :) We had our rehearsal dinner there and it was wonderful. An amazing night with 100 or so of our closest family and friends....great memories!! :) So we go back each year to remember the good times. :) Ritas make everyone smile...... :) And Braden was just happy to be cold kickin it outside. :)

Later that night, Chris and I had our fancy date. :) What a fun time!! We headed out to "The Emerald"...a super cute little Irish cottage in southwest Austin. Having been to Ireland before...it was a cute recreation of a cottage in an Irish countryside. It is run by the sweetest family and we loved spending time with them that night. We settled in for a very cozy 3 hour meal, as we waited for our 4 courses to be served. You can have lots of good conversation in 3 uninterrupted hours!! HA! :) All in all, it was a great experience and the service could not have been better. We loved how authentic the house was too....it really was a treat! My handsome hubby........ :) Fine china adorned with shamrocks, a little bit of crystal, and some lace.. :)
And look at the matching shamrock wallpaper...how cute. :) We got "The Emerald Cart"...and it was quite a sight!
Check out how our pork loin in a puff pastry was served. :) On a silver platter! So much food and Irish whisky cake at the end...that we had to take home the leftovers. :)Another amazing weekend has come to a close. And once again...we will look forward to the week flying by so that we can get to the next one quickly!! :)
