Well I hate that I did not start this blog until so far into the pregnancy. Again, my lack of any kind of blogging knowledge prohibited me from starting earlier! HA! :)
But I'll give a quick summary of the pregnancy...it has been going AMAZING!! :) I am already in Week 25 which seems to incredibly hard to believe. Little Braden seems to be just growing away in there, and we are about 15 weeks out from our life changing forever. :) A new little person will be hanging out with us....and that is so scary and exciting all at the same time!! :)
Quick background-we found out we were pregnant around Christmas of 2008. We took a little while to absorb the shock and awe of it all...and then the serious excitement kicked in. We were hoping to have a baby in 2009 and of course God is so good! We went to the doctor for the first time in early January...and after a quick ultrasound she told us that our baby was due on Sept 4th, 2009. My birthday is in Sept too so I love that month! :) The only thing I do not love is going through the last months of pregnancy in the HEAT of a Texas summer-ugh. :(
So we decided to wait a little while before telling family and close friends..just so we could figure out creative ways to make that happen. :) I did tell my best friend Jennifer at Party City on New Years Eve (of all places). I just blurted it out b.c I could not hold it in!! HA!! So we laughed and cried a few tears of joy together over the news...and she was thrilled for us. Thank you Jenn! :)
We decided to tell our parents around the end of January (about 8-9 weeks along) with little packages. One of the things inside the package was a diaper with "Baby Bugbee" written on the front..and the inside said "Arriving Sept 4th, 2009". They were all super excited to welcome another grandbaby into the family. Another little one that they could spoil rotten (as we have seen them do with our sweet nieces). :)
Papa Jet (he thought it was a BOY all along)....
Mama Jet....Papa Bugs....
Mama Cox....
We told our siblings at the same time as our parents. For Cory/Jenn and Jay/Katie, we decided to announce the baby's arrival with dresses for our precious nieces-Lainey and Riley. So we had "I am going to be a Big Cousin" dresses made for them. :)

And then we sent a second set of packages when we found out that we were having a BOY! :) It was a little package that had a set of blue and pink yarn all tied up. There was a little poem attached along with the letters "A" and "B". We had choosen the names Addison Grace for a girl and Braden Christopher for a boy. The families had to undo all of the yarn and see if the pink or blue yarn was longer. :) The longer one was the gender of the baby. They were all so cute, and called us to let us know that we were having a BOY!! :)
We had a blast telling our families b.c they were all SO shocked..so that was super fun! And then we started telling our close friends between Weeks 10-12 in various ways. We sent out an email to announce to everyone that we had not been able to contact just yet at 14 weeks-in early March. :) Everyone was so amazing and sent the sweetest emails and phone calls. Thank you all so much! :) You totally made everything so much sweeter! :)
We are VERY excited about little Braden Christopher...and we feel so blessed to have had such an amazing and uneventful pregnancy. Praise the Lord!! :)
