Family Reunion Fun!!

For any of you that follow my blog on any kind of a regular basis, you know that I am VERY far behind on my blogging! HA!! I am trying to catch up quickly but I am struggling just a little bit in that department with the holidays! :) It will hopefully all be updated soon! :)

The first Saturday in December is always our BIG family reunion...and it is lots of FUN!!! It is everyone from my mom's side of the family-aunts, uncles, cousins, etc...and we all meet out at the family farm about 30 minutes outside of College Station. The reunion is a big deal b.c it is the time that we set aside to get together each year and just enjoy one another's company. Sure there are weddings, showers, births, and other things..but this is just the weekend that everyone knows we will celebrate the holidays together. I LOVE that we have this tradition....and I hope that it goes on forever for my kids too! :) I don't think I have missed more than one or two years reunions in 35 years....and the farm is a place of such wonderful memories. :)

This year was no exception...lots of fun was had by all. :) Braden LOVED being out on the farm. He was only 3 months old when we went last year. He was on cloud 9 the whole day with all that there was to do!! :) So cute to watch him running around and wearing himself out completely. :) And it is so awesome to be able to let him run around anywhere that he wants outside and not have to worry about cars and those type of things. :)

Just a sneak peak as to how Santa went this year. HA! :) We have Santa come later in the day for some serious fun for the kids. :) Mrs. Claus comes too which is so great for pictures! :) Um, I really do not think so!! What am I doing up here? :( However, I did end up getting a present at the very end...so that might have been worth it afterall! :) One of the first activities after a yummy BBQ lunch was the pinata. :) Braden took his turn at trying to bash in Lightning McQueen. :) I think he barely hit it. HA!All of the kids wanted a turn....Jude smacked it hard. :) Sophie did too. :) Molly and Ali were loving being in charge of raising it up to tease the little kids. :) Once it finally busted then all of the kids dove for everything inside. Braden wanted the treats but he also just wanted to sit inside of Lightning. :) The super cute Bond family photo... :)Just the Bond kids this time...Brittany, Ali, and Christian.Cody was loving his time up on the tractor. He wanted to drive! :)Braden decided that he needed to get up on the tractor and explore too. :)Time for the annual hayride!! I am ready to go! :)Nathan is ready too.. :)Stopping to take a quick pic with Mom....but don't think I am going to smile just yet. :) I will once we take off. :)
This is FUN!!! :) Braden loved being out in the pastures and seeing all of the land....And he was a BIG fan of seeing all of the cows up very close and personal. :)And they had bounce houses out there too...HOORAY!! Braden fell in LOVE! We could not keep him out of them! :) Mom-will you buy me one of these for our house? :) PULEASE? :) Some of the ladies smiling for me....Stephanie, Stacy, and Sara...Gayle and Chelsie....Brad and Shelly chillin....Some of the guys just drinking beer and catching up....Blake, Mark, and Seth.
Amy and Melissa are all smiles!Allison, Fred, and Marcus.... :)Mr. Jacob loved this snowman. :) Santa and Mrs. Claus are HERE!! :) YAY!! Best part is that they pulled up in a Saab convertible. So awesome! :) All of the kids started to run up and swarmthem. They get so super excited!Funny stuff must be going on with Mr. and Mrs. Claus....
Storytelling time. :) Braden was watching all of the kids head up to sit on Santa's lap. The boys hanging out...Braden, Jude, and Luke. :)
Jacob loved him. :)
Luke did too. :)
Nathan get s fun present....Even the big kids have fun when Santa comes. :) Brittany was telling him about her freshman year at OU and all of the great things she wants for Christmas. :) Denise and Kathleen with Santa... Dawn taking her turn. :)
Braden and Seth were playing cars together before dinner. :)
What a super fun day!!!! We love the time with the family and all of the great interaction that Braden has with all of his cousins!! :) We are already looking forward to the Boehm Family Reunion 2011!! The Jaetzolds and Bugbees are the hosts this next year....fun! :) See you all there! :)
