Sickness Stinks!!

Well unfortunately we came back from our cruise to a sick baby. Big boo! :( It was a total God thing though b.c Braden did not show any signs of being sick until that Saturday morning, July 3rd (the day we flew back). And we made it home just a few hours after he started to get sick, and were SO thankful for that!

He started out by not really wanting to eat any solids...he just wanted milk. Then he just progressively got worse over the next few days-fever, vomiting, fussy, somewhat lethargic at times, etc. After watching him on Saturday, we decided to take him to see a pediatrician on Sunday, the 4th of July. We thought that he had possibly just not gotten over his ear infection from the week before. Turned out that we are SOOOO glad that we took him in b.c he had a nasty virus with sores all in the back of his throat. Poor baby! :( We would never have known about those..and that was the main reason he did not want to eat any solid food. :( He was sick for a total of about 6 days...and it was LONG 6 days!! Slowly but surely he started to feel better...and we were so grateful! :)

We had a lot of long days in our house during that time...but we tried to make him smile as much as possible. We tried to think of creative things to pass the time b.c he seemed to do much better when he was distracted.

Here are a few pics of our week. :) We had to get out in the pool to cool down...I see you! :)Braden and Daddy worked on making a castle....just in time for Braden to tear it down. :)Go boys!We played in Pampers boxes and he liked that a lot. :)And we played with milk jugs and all other types of fun things. :)We played with fridge magnets......We watched a lot of fun movies and baby signing videos...to practice our sign language. And as you can tell, Braden had quite a messy few days in the living room! :)We played in the bath...and learned to spell our name....And we took a lot of naps and had CRAZY hair! :)This is today and you can tell he is finally feeling better. He wanted to wear his bright colors and show that he was over his sickness and in a happy place again. :) We are so glad you are better Baby B!! :)
