Bayou Country Superfest=Memorial Day Weekend Fun!

Chris and I had a fun Memorial Day Weekend!! :) We went roadtrip crazy and we had a great time!! :) On Friday we headed to Lake Charles to my parents house. We stayed with them that night and then headed to Baton Rouge on Saturday. Braden stayed back with his Mimi and Pappy and had a ball!! He got to do so many fun things and got to go and visit some of my aunts, uncles, and cousins with my parents. He got lots of love and was taken care of in a big way. :) I don't think he was missing us at all! HA! :)

But back to Baton Rouge.... :) Chris and I checked in at the Hilton Capitol Center and they very sweetly upgraded us to a fun suite there. :) Thanks Hilton friends! :) Then we headed out for the main reason that we were in town-the Bayou Country Music Superfest!! Yeah baby!! It was awesome!! :) We saw the greatest concerts on Saturday and Sunday night....and it was totally worth the heat and humidity to jam to the sounds of the following:

Awesome country music, right? Oh yes!! :) So two nights of pure goodness in the music arena..and we ate some good food, slept in, and shopped a little when we were not singing. :)

We headed back to Lake Charles very late on Sunday night/Monday morning. We picked up Braden on Monday and headed back to Austin. Yay for fun weekends...and good music!! :) Already looking forward to the 4th of July for the next long weekend!! HA! :)

There were lots and lots of people there.....as in somewhere in the neighborhood of about 50,000. :) Chris was super excited that his favorite Taylor Swift was about to come on stage! And her concert was pretty over the top!! And pretty amazing!! She must have changed into no less than 8-9 outfits. :) I have never seen such a cool stage set up and she really connected with the audience. People were going NUTS! :)
