We headed to College Station on Friday morning, stayed the night, and came back to Austin on Saturday. Chris had to go down for an Obama/Bush "Point of Light" event that day on campus...so Braden and I went too. We wanted to be sure Braden was exposed to the school that he will be attending in 2028..ha!! Go Texas A&M!! :) WHOOP!!
We had such a great time...and there is just so much energy there. I love college campuses. I mean I loved Aggieland when I went to school there..but it is so much fun to go back and remember the old days as well. What a great time, and what a great place!! :)
Here is Braden getting ready for his first trip...fun times. You can tell he was super excited as he slept through the departure. :) He was just storing up his energy for the big day ahead. :)

I LOVE all of the new restaurants in Bryan/College Station. Why were all of these not there when we went to school? :)
Then we headed over to the grand opening of Spoons Yogurt. YAY!! Our close friend David Mebane has accomplished yet another great thing! :) He already has his super successful bike and segway tours all over the US and around Europe...and now he is venturing out once again. Spoons is an awesome concept and the grand opening was fabulous. We were so glad to be able to celebrate with David and his wife Kelly on their big day. And it was sooo much fun to see the droves of people that showed up to check out the new place. Loved it!! :) So glad it was such a huge success, and you must check it out when you are in College Station the next time! You won't be disappointed! :)
Braden was excited too. :) He often shows his excitement by sleeping these days. HA! :)
David and his son Weston just hanging out... :)
David's super sweet wife and mom...Kelly and Cheryl...so cute. :)
David's daughter Caroline.....who we think needs to be the new poster child for "Spoons". Don't you? :) Precious...
We had dinner with David, Kelly, and the kids at Los Cucos Friday eve..yum. :)
Then we headed to Navasota to visit some of my extended family. Aunt Erna was giving Braden lots of love..
And Gayle was giving him lots too.... :)
We checked into the hotel..and Braden loved his first hotel bed. :)
Well actually this was his bed...ha! :) We have a little travel bed for him. :) So handy.
We took lots of pics on campus on Saturday. I just posted a few of my favs... :)

Yay for Braden's first trip to Aggieland!! So exciting! I'm so jealous that you ate at Blue Baker - one of my faves the last year that I was in College Station. Your friend, Kelly, look really familiar - was she a TriDelt??
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that y'all are doing well. Braden's a super cutie :)
